Great food, great service worth checking out this town loved breakfast hotspot now under new ownership

We went there on 5 -5-19. I had under the Seafood Sautes.....SHRIMP CREOLE with peppers, onions and Fresh Garlic in a Red Sauce over Linguine. U can get it over 🍚 riceif u like. It came with 🍲 Soup. It was delicious 😋 Yummy! I loved it. The portion was huge. Of course i got a doggy bag. Our server's name was Catherine, very pleasant girl. And always asked us if we were enjoying our meal. I would most definitely go back and maybe try a different kind of dish. My son and his friends go there often. They r all pleased with the food and atmosphere. 👍

Today was their official grand opening. From the warm smiles that greeted me at the door to the abilities of the staff to cater to the guest's needs was truly amazing. My waitress' name was Emma and she was nothing short of excellent. I ordered a spinach, mushroom, mozzarella omelette and it was ginormous and delicious. Had I not played basketball for hrs at the gym this morning, I would definitely have leftovers. Thank you Tom's River Diner and I wish you the best of luck on your new journey

Food was Fantastic! Our waitress was such a Lovely person and the bathroom was nice and clean. I'm so glad they finally opened up again. Love this place! ❤️

Only good thing about coming here was the waitress and food. The management was the most disgusting, rude, vulgar, and horrible people I've ever met. I came here with some people after our friends wake, it was 10:01pm when we were getting ready to leave and we were sorting out everything ensure we packed up everything before paying. The owner/manager decided it was smart to slam his hand while cussing about how rude we were and how annoying it was that "everynight they finish food and never leave we have clear hours of when we close I'm sick of this!!" Then as we all pay he smiles and tries joking with us. He is a disturbed man who belongs being unseen by the public.

It was a good light meal. Nice staff.

Husband and I came for breakfast, his first time, my second time. Clean, good food, upbeat servers and host and hostess. Will definitely be back.

Been going there forever. This reopening if the TR Dinner was needed. Good food and great staff.

The food was good, service was good considering they were slamming busy.Ate there Sunday, was very disappointed. Ordered the pot roast, I have had every week since opening. Normally good But this week I was served meat and mash potatoes covered in a congealed COLD sauce, they took it back and microwaved it for a couple of minutes and returned it covered in congealed pot roast gravy again and it was more money on day two than Saturday specials. Owner wasn't much help. This weekend rate is 1/2 *

Great for breakfast. Had few other meals here that were good not great... My main problem was that I ordered wings and when I bit into one it seemed a tad cooler on the inside and then had another which was I've cold. Clearly frozen wings dropped into a fryer for not long enough. Since this experience I haven't gone back

Good Jersey diner. Traditional diner menu and setting. Staff is very nice and everything is fast and good. If you're heading to the Jersey shore via Rt 37 give it a try. I had a mushroom omelet. It was good. The coffee was good. My wife got a grilled cheese and fries and she was happy with her choice. Large portion of fries.

Such a great experience! From the host to the atmosphere to the great food. I went in hoping they’d have some type of bean burger like most diners. But I ended up with something way better they had the Beyond burger! Highly recommend.

So glad they re-opened! Some friends and I stopped by this past week for some breakfast and everything was on point especially considering they just re-opened. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. My friends ordered the wings and loved every bite and I ordered the Beyond Burger which was so good! I will definitely be a regular at this establishment. Congrats on the re-opening guys, looking forward to many many meals.

Food is good but inconsistently prepared. Price is reasonable. Most of the wait staff is excellent...could do without a couple!

So far it's been a hit or miss experience for me. The staff is very friendly and we never had to wait long for our food or drinks. The food on the other hand can go either way, one night the spaghetti and meatballs were amazing, the next time it was under cooked. The buffalo chicken wrap seemed to be more wrap than the actual conents. It's not terrible but it's not amazing either.

Food was good, but the owner was rude and hovered over us while we ate dinner. He even went as far as locking my handicap wife out of the building because they were closing in 15 minutes and she went outside to smoke. Told her he wasn't going to let her back in.

The new Toms River Diner is bright and cheerful, the staff is friendly and the food is great! Was very happy to see there's a vegan option available with the Beyond Burger, which was fantastic!

Had breakfast here and it was absolutely perfect , we had a veggie omelette, and Belgium waffle of which the waitress told me they make the batter from scratch! I couldn't have asked for a better breakfast and the waitress was one of the nicest ladies I ever met. They fixed this place up real nice and they have high quality ingredients 👌

The diner looks great inside. Very clean! Staff was super friendly. However, the food tasted freezer burned and was poor quality. Probably wouldn't return.

Very good diner. Went for breakfast meals for dinner and was pretty good. Standard diner fare but service was outstanding! The gentleman at the cashier hostess station was also very friendly.

First time visiting since they remodeled and reopened under new ownership. When we first arrived on Sunday around 10am, we and several others were asked to wait at least 10 minutes, it wound up being 20, and we saw there were at least 6 open tables that were already set. 2 men were walking around plus the hostess but people seemed to be waiting for their food. Once seated the waitress came over and was so nice and the food was served in a reasonable time. The food was hot and it was delicious. What we thought was going to be a bad experience was actually delightful and worth the wait.

They have the impossible Burger! Great option for vegans

Love it! This diner really needed to be revamped and it is just about everything you could want in a diner. I had a pork roll egg and cheese sandwich and a side of home fries. It was a great pork roll sandwich and you can tell they use the good stuff. Home fries were seasoned nicely and have a nice balance soft potato and crispy outside. Our server, Sue, was wonderful! So friendly and attentive. My coffee cup was never empty. By the way, the coffee was pretty tasty for diner coffee too!

Food was pretty good. Waitress was very nice, & clear about her name - liked that. My order wasn't exact, but she made up for it with free dessert, which was unexpected & welcome. I was in a bit of hurry so did not linger over coffee. Food came out promptly, hot, well made & tasty. Except for corned beef vs pastrami mix up, no real complaints. Good overall. Lots of good parking & good location for multiple exits.

I ordered a cup of coffee. I ordered a California burger with bacon. I had to wait and wait for a refill on the coffee. The burger was ordered as med well it came out VERY pink without bacon. It's not like the place was busy it was only half full. Nope not for me. By the way it was 3pm.

Have cheesecake! Huge slices and delicious. They have impossible burgers! Beautiful remodel. Everything is up to date. Friendly staff. I highly recommend.

This diner is a staple in all of Ocean County and I am more than happy that it is back and better than ever. They're great staff, new leadership, and innovative menu is what sets this establishment apart. My family and I enjoyed everything from the Nitro to the Beyond Burger and special pancakes. We will definitely be back for more!

The new Toms River diner is unreal! AMAZING food and great staff. So happy to have this diner back in town. They even had the beyond burger which was cooked to perfection and hit the spot! Can't recommend this diner enough, I'm sure you'll see them on best NJ diners in no time.
